Dr. David Thompson joined Dental Arts in 1992. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1977, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota in 1985. He completed a General Practice Residency and Geriatric Fellowship at the University of Minnesota upon graduation, and then served the population of Minneapolis for five years prior to joining Dental Arts.

Dr. Thompson is a member of the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the Brown-Door-Kewaunee Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He frequently visits Haiti with the Friends of Haiti organization and continues to be active with the dental school in Port-Au-Prince.

His daughter, Dr. Emily Thompson, joined the practice in 2016.
